The whole situation with manual coding...

We're living in the AI age... And coding is no alien use case for AI.
AI provides some clear benefits that manual coding usually does not: fast dev speed, high throughput, faster iteration cycles, etc...
Even I use ai for coding a lot.
But what I realize is the goal is not to become a vibe coder... There's a difference between having a good conceptual understanding of programming and related concepts and then using AI... as opposed to some guy not knowing what a for loop is.
Moving forward, the path to producing reliable software using AI will include having a solid understanding of the fundamentals and concepts and being able to communicate that effectively to the AI.
Personally, I make sure to take out an hour a day to just learn new things and ~15 mins where I'm manually coding... Keeps me sharp and better positioned to review ai code.
That's what I'm thinking at the moment...
Good day.
